Twenty years later on this day ,all of the world would be in a great deal of tension . that is on Friday ,the 13Th, 2029 ,Near-Earth Asteroid 2004 MN4 ,will have the closest rendezvous with the earth that it has definitely got some sleepless nights for the officials over at the NASA .The odds of impact, presently around 1 in 300, are unusual enough to merit special monitoring by astronomers, but should not be of public concern. These odds are likely to change on a day-to-day basis as new data are received. In all likelihood, the possibility of impact will eventually be eliminated as the asteroid continues to be tracked by astronomers around the world.
asteroid 2004 MN4 was discovered on 19 June 2004(that's why the it has 2004 in its nomenclature) , by Roy Tucker, David Tholen and Fabrizio Bernardi of the NASA-funded University of Hawaii Asteroid Survey (UHAS), from Kitt Peak, Arizona, and observed over two nights, was lost and was rediscovered later ,six months later to be precise On 18 December, rediscovered from Australia by Gordon Garradd of the Siding Spring Survey, another NASA-funded NEA survey. the asteroid is about 320 meter wide, which big enough for a asteroid .
All these news brings back the memory of the movie " Armageddon" where a group of oil drillers are sent to a asteroid which was to hit earth in 18 days.well ,nothing of this sort has to be done in this case , as we have 20 years in our hand and also ,scientist have predicted that it wont hit the earth at all. actually ,On April 13, 2029, asteroid 2004 MN4 will fly past Earth only 18,600 miles (30,000 km) above the ground. For comparison, geosynchronous satellites orbit at 22,300 miles (36,000 km).
According to NASA, "2004 MN4 is now being tracked very carefully by many astronomers around the world, and we continue to update our risk analysis this object. Today's impact monitoring results indicate that the impact probability for April 13, 2029 has risen to about 1.6%, which for an object of this size corresponds to a rating of 4 on the ten-point Torino scale. Actually Torino scale is a scale which ranges from 1 -10 ,and it is divided into five colour zones ,white ,green, yellow ,orange and red. well ,2004MN4 falls in the yellow zone and is stated as
" A close encounter, meriting attention by astronomers. Current calculations give a 1% or greater chance of collision capable of regional devastation. Most likely, new telescopic observations will lead to re-assignment to Level 0. Attention by public and by public officials is merited if the encounter is less than a decade away." Nevertheless, the odds against impact are still high, about 60 to 1, meaning that there is a better than 98% chance that new data in the coming days, weeks, and months will rule out any possibility of impact in 2029."

The view through an optical telescope won't be so impressive. The asteroid's maximum angular diameter is only 2 to 4 arcseconds, which means it will be a starlike point of light in all but the very largest telescopes.
But to the naked eye--wow! No one in recorded history has ever seen an asteroid in space so bright.
"All this is taking place on FRIDAY The 13th,, lets hope that its not that bad after all."
If it is truth we will survive from nuclear wars cause there is no need of destroy our homE
